Tyvek® Storage Dockets

  • A loan docket envelope is supposed to last anywhere from one year to even 25 years. Tyvek® offers the longest life than any other alternatives.
  • Since Tyvek® has a very long life; there is no need of changing the envelope many times during the entire loan tenure. A typical paper or a laminated or a cloth lined cover might need to be changed at least once in three to five years. Thus, in case of a Tyvek envelope there is no need of any changes. This would be of great saving to the bank in the long run.
  • Tyvek® is a breathable substrate and thus would not allow any internal moisture to stay inside. As we all know moisture is the biggest bane for document storage. Tyvek eliminates this problem and thus offers true protection to the documents inside. This is the key for the Cheque Storage envelope.
  • Tyvek® is rot, mildew resistant and thus would provide additional protections. In facts, Tyvek cannot be spoiled by many rats also as most rats cannot bite in to Tyvek.
  • Tyvek® envelope can be used with sticker Velcro. Thus, neither the handling of the envelope during the loan processing or during storage or during the opening of the envelopes during various audit phases cannot spoil the envelope. In case the Velcro loses strength during years of handling, a simple sticker Velcro can be pasted and extend the life of the envelope.

Apart from the above the typical properties of Tyvek like tear, water chemical resistance are there in addition that offers additional protection.
